In this podcast we interview Craig Beckett who together with eleven other walkers are journeying close to 500 kilometers by foot in order to bring awareness to about oil and gas exploration in Namibia and Botswana.

COP28 Our Birds, Plants And Foods Are Disappearing - The San Of Botswana
One of the top priorities at COP28 is to finalize the inaugural Global Stocktake (GST), which serves as the primary means of evaluating advancements towards the objectives established in the Paris Agreement. The GST presents nations with a chance to evaluate their current climate initiatives and determine areas where additional action is necessary.
Cultural Survival attended COP28 in Dubai, from 30 November to 12 December 2023, and spoke to some of the delegates who attended.

Cumbre Indígena sobre Transición Justa: “buscamos una transición justa hasta que todo lo que es sagrado sea restaurado”
La “Cumbre Indígena sobre Transición Justa: Perspectivas, Conocimientos y Experiencias Vividas de los Pueblos Indígenas” se llevó a cabo del 8 al 10 de octubre de 2024 en Ginebra, Suiza. En este evento participaron cerca de 100 delegados de los Pueblos Indígenas de las 7 regiones socioculturales, quienes denunciaron las afectaciones que se viven en sus territorios debido a la llegada de proyectos para la generación de “energía verde”, así como reflexionaron cómo sería una transición energética verdaderamente justa.
