Durante la pandemia por Covid-19, este vital líquido ha resultado aún más importante en la preparación de alimentos y medicinas, el aseo personal y el lavado constante de las manos. No obstante, para millones de personas este servicio es irregular o nulo, afectando principalmente a las mujeres Indígenas, que son las responsables del cuidado de la familia.

The International Indigenous Peoples Forum on Climate Change, the official caucus for Indigenous Peoples participating in the UNFCCC processes, which held its preparatory meeting on 5th and 6th November prior to UNFCCC COP27 and had a discussion on a range of issues relating to climate change to come into agreement specifically on what Indigenous Peoples will be negotiating for, in specific UNFCCC processes.

COP 15 - Ramiro Batzin y el rol de los defensores de derechos humanos en la conservación de los recursos naturales

La Conferencia de las Naciones Unidas sobre Diversidad Biológica (COP 15) se llevó a cabo en Montreal, Canadá, del 7 al 19 de diciembre de 2022. Durante este evento se reunieron delegaciones de 188 gobiernos, así como integrantes de distintas organizaciones, con el fin de abordar temas como la pérdida de biodiversidad, la restauración de los ecosistemas y la protección de los derechos de los Pueblos Indígenas.
