Indigenous Peoples’ participation in many areas of society should be encouraged as they have a range of knowledge to offer, especially with regards to conservation and the importance of biodiversity.

This series of 24 PSAs is based on the Outcome Document of the World Conference on Indigenous Peoples, which took place in September of 2014 in New York. The PSAs highlight specific passages of the Outcome Document in an effort to inform audiences of exactly what the document contains and encourage action.

ODS 1 Bribri, Fin de la Pobreza

¿Ha escuchado sobre los Objetivos de Desarrollo Sostenible? Cultural Survival pone a su disposición este programa en idioma Bribri específicamente sobre el objetivo de número 1 enfocado a ponerle fin a la pobreza para el año 2030, considerando la suma importancia de que los pueblos Indígenas se mantengan informados en sus propios idiomas para poder involucrarse en alcanzar esta meta para el año 2030.

ODS 2 Bribri, Hambre Cero

Los Objetivos de Desarrollo Sostenible establecidos por Naciones Unidas están estrechamente vinculado con los pueblos Indígenas y la forma de cómo pueden estar involucrados. Poder estar informados en sus propios idiomas es fundamental por lo que Cultural Survival presenta este programa en idioma Bribrí hablada por más de 6,000 personas de la comunidad Bribri en la región costarricense de Talamanca y en las montañas de la provincia de Bocas del Toro en Panamá.
