Trabajo decente y crecimiento económico, ODS#8, en idioma Q'eqchi’

¿Qué sabe sobre los Objetivos de Desarrollo Sostenible conocidos como ODS? En este programa le compartimos información sobre el objetivo número 8, enfocado al tema de la economía mundial, pues un crecimiento económico inclusivo y sostenido puede impulsar el progreso, crear empleos decentes para todos y mejorar los estándares de vida.

¿Qué sabe sobre los Objetivos de Desarrollo Sostenible conocidos como ODS? Estos consisten en 17 objetivos interdependientes, cada uno con sus propias metas,  establecidos por las Naciones Unidas con el fin de hacer un llamado a la acción para poner un alto a la pobreza, proteger el planeta y mejorar las vidas y las perspectivas de las personas en todo el mundo.

Food Sovereignty Nepal_Tharu

The idea of every human being’s ’right to food’ is nothing new these days, however, looking specifically at this idea in relation to Indigenous Peoples is an exciting and important movement that is gaining steam fast, and rightfully so. International conferences, under the title Indigenous Terra Madre, have been held across the globe first in Sweden in 2011 and then India to explore topics related to Indigenous food sovereignty and better spread the vast agricultural knowledge that has been passed down through Indigenous communities for generations.
