El coronavirus ha causado enfermedades que van desde el resfriado común hasta enfermedades más graves y en muchos casos ha causado hasta la muerte. El sitio web de rtve señala que actualmente existen más de 100,6 millones de casos y más de 2,1 millones de muertos en todo el mundo.

COVID-19 sigue siendo una situación de gravedad, más ahora con nuevas variaciones del virus que se extiende por todo el mundo. La segunda ola del virus está afectando a muchos países principalmente en comunidades Indígenas donde ahora ya no solo los niños y ancianos son vulnerables, las nuevas variaciones de Covid19 están afectando a todos en general.

Ha pasado más de un año y los efectos por covid-19 se siguen sintiendo mucho más debido a la segunda ola y sus variaciones, según el sistema de monitoreo de COVID-19 de la Universidad de Medicina John Hopkins señala que a la fecha se han registrado 3,382,561 muertes en el mundo.

Han pasado más de dos años desde que en diciembre del 2019 el gobierno de China anunció que en la provincia de Wuhan había un “brote de una neumonía de causas desconocidas”. En ese momento se registraban 27 casos de contagios y la pandemia de Covid-19 apenas comenzaba. 

La pandemia de Covid-19 ha perjudicado en diferentes formas la vida en los pueblos y comunidades Indígenas, afectando la salud, la alimentación, la educación, la economía, entre otras áreas. En el tema de la siembra y el campo, ¿cuáles fueron las principales afectaciones? 

La pandemia de Covid-19 ha afectado de diferentes maneras la vida en los pueblos y comunidades Indígenas. Se han vivido afectaciones en la salud, en la economía, en la alimentación, en la educación, entre otras áreas. A pesar de esta situación, los pueblos Indígenas hemos buscado formas para lograr que nuestras comunidades se mantengan en equilibrio.
