Indigenous South Africans To Benefit From Tea Industry

In South Africa, in November 2019, a small but significant victory has been achieved when a benefit sharing agreement was reached with the Indigenous People of South Africa. The Khoi and San people will now benefit from the multi-million rand Rooibos tea and Honeybush industries.
Only 2% of the farmers who grow the tea are from Indigenous communities.

Radio Promotes Diversity

Radio is a powerful medium for celebrating humanity in all its diversity. For Indigenous Peoples in many countries, radio is the most accessible platform to have their say in the languages that they speak and understand. Radio, therefore, is a fundamental means of communication for Indigenous Peoples to maintain their languages and to exercise and defend their rights. Moreover, radio is a means of ensuring the right to information in all sectors of society.

Imposición del Discurso de Desarrollo a Pueblos Indígenas

La época colonial en Centroamérica está marcada por el sufrimiento de los pueblos Indígenas que han luchado y siguen luchando ante la imposición de modelos imperialistas y extractivistas en sus territorios; modelos que tienen como único fin generar recurso económico sin importar la destrucción de los recursos naturales y despojo de territorios sagrados.

Día Internacional de la Paz

Cada año, el 21 de septiembre, se celebra el Día Internacional de la Paz en todo el mundo. La Asamblea General ha declarado esta fecha como el día dedicado al fortalecimiento de los ideales de paz, a través de la observación de 24 horas de no violencia y alto el fuego.

Desde sus principios e identidad, los Pueblos Indígenas son seres de paz, seres que priorizan la armonía local a través del diálogo y comunicación con sus líderes, asambleas, organizaciones y principalmente con los abuelos y abuelas.
