Durante este evento, una de las demandas principales de los Pueblos Indígenas fue que realmente se nos tome en cuenta en los procesos de toma de decisiones. En esta entrevista realizada por integrantes de Cultural Survival, Mindahi Bastida, del pueblo otomí de México, reitera dicha exigencia.

National legislation should protect the rights of Indigenous Peoples with disabilities and work to improve their social and economic conditions.
