Entrevista con Ahida Quilche, un recipiente de un premio liderazgo en el Foro Internacional de Mujeres Indígenas en 2014. Ella trabaja directamente con el pueblo y comunidad y cree en la lucha para proteger derechos Indígenas. Ella está conocido como líder Indígena más imporante de su país de Colombia.

Entrevista con Albertina Perez de Honduras, comunicadora de la estación comunitaria Radio Progreso. Ella participó en el Foro Permanente sobre las Cuestiones Indígenas por primera vez en Abril 2015. Habla sobre su trabajo interesante y como ha enfrentado desafíos en su trabajo. 

Maria Eugenia Choque de Bolivia habla sobre derechos que están establecidos por instrumentos internacionales para que Pueblos Indígenas pueden aplicarlos en sus propios comunidades. La implementación de estos derechos es muy dificil, pero Maria dice que es importante seguir luchando por la defensa de comunidades y Pueblos Indígenas del mundo.

States should work with indigenous women and their communities to enable programmes around capacity building and strengthening of leadership. Indigenous women need to be included in decision making processes, at each level and in all areas.

Lemoine LaPointe, a Lakota of South Dakota and Minnesota, speaks about community conversations and their importance in providing support for Indigenous Peoples and their relationship with the surrounding region both in the present and in the future.  We met up with Lemoine at the UNPFII 2015.

As we commemorate World Health Day on April 7th, we are faced with a pandemic. Dr. Myrna Cunningham reminds us how to stay safe, and how to practice personal hygiene in this time of crisis.
