While it is important to ensure the well-being of our elders in the time of this global pandemic, let us take care of our children too. La pandemia por Covid-19 se ha reducido drásticamente. Sin embargo, a nivel mundial nos seguimos enfrentando a distintas problemáticas derivadas de esta contingencia sanitaria. Actualmente, la generación de “nueva basura”, como cubrebocas, caretas y botellas de gel antibacterial está causando mucho daño al medio ambiente. De acuerdo con diferentes organizaciones, esta situación nos está llevando a un retroceso en cuanto a la acumulación de plásticos, producto de una cultura de usar y tirar, sumada a una tasa de reciclaje poco significativa o efectiva.

This report is in the Igbo language. In many instances, students had to drop out of school because of illness, or having to take care of a sick loved one. The report was produced by Ugonna Edeani and script written by Chinenye Anichebe and reported by John Chikwere Oguejiofor.

In South Africa, land conferences are held often, but Khoi and San people are seldom involved in the talks. Martinus Fredericks, a direct descendent of Cornelius Fredericks, who was a Nama leader who fought along Kaptein Hendrik Witbooi.
