Indigenous Terra Madre Conference

Terra Madre means "Mother Earth" in Latin. The theme of the Indigenous Terra Madre conference was to celebrate the bio and cultural diversity that is the asset of Indigenous communities. The aim of this gathering is to share ideas, to come together, and be inspired or be warned, and to make people aware that our local food systems. It also seeks to build awareness that "the way we cooked in the past, and the wild plants around us are more important for our health than all the medicines we take.

Adjunto, se tiene que mantener la supervisión de los proyectos para asegurar que las cosas se realicen como se decidió dentro de las sesiones.

Victoria Sánchez, Indígena Muisca de Colombia nos habla sobre la lucha de su comunidad por el tema de las tierras, enfrentan muchos retos ya que esta comunidad geográficamente situado en el centro de Colombia y el gobierno distrital urbano han invadido los territorios de las comunidades, también menciona como el gobierno distrital y el nacional no les ampara ni le reconoce sus derechos de tierra pese a sus denuncias.

Respaldados por el Derecho Internacional, mostramos apoyo a la comunidad Maya Q´eqchi´ en Agua Caliente, Guatemala como precedente internacional para que se  reconozca a las Comunidades como titulares colectivas de tierras tradicionales. Un derecho que debe ser reconocido por Ley.
