Imposición del Discurso de Desarrollo a Pueblos Indígenas

La época colonial en Centroamérica está marcada por el sufrimiento de los pueblos Indígenas que han luchado y siguen luchando ante la imposición de modelos imperialistas y extractivistas en sus territorios; modelos que tienen como único fin generar recurso económico sin importar la destrucción de los recursos naturales y despojo de territorios sagrados.

Mujeres Indígenas y el Valor de la Palabra

Las mujeres Indígenas desde siempre se han caracterizado por ser conocedoras y sabias. Dentro de la cosmovisión de mujeres Indígenas han sido las encargadas de generar paz, bienestar y buen vivir a través de la buena palabras en los territorios.

Día Internacional de la Paz

Cada año, el 21 de septiembre, se celebra el Día Internacional de la Paz en todo el mundo. La Asamblea General ha declarado esta fecha como el día dedicado al fortalecimiento de los ideales de paz, a través de la observación de 24 horas de no violencia y alto el fuego.

Desde sus principios e identidad, los Pueblos Indígenas son seres de paz, seres que priorizan la armonía local a través del diálogo y comunicación con sus líderes, asambleas, organizaciones y principalmente con los abuelos y abuelas.

Cathy Fournier On Indigenous Identity And Health

Because of colonisation, many Indigenous Peoples face issues of discovering who they are, in terms of identity. Sometimes, this is as a result of education or religion.
Sometimes we question our own indigeneity, and perhaps, in some cases, there are reasons for this.
Each of us has a different past, a different coming together of events, that has led to who we are, and where we come from.
Cultural Survivals Avexnim Cojti spoke to Cathy Fournier, from the University of Torronto, in Canada.
