While countries all over the world are on lockdown, and panic is the order of the day, this is a time when Indigenous Peoples around the world are encouraged to stay calm, and be strong, in the face of severe adversity.
What is most important to note, is that our elderly are the most vulnerable. We need to take extra precaution to save the lives of the ones who are dear to us, and the ones who have shown us the way to go, who have guided our feet on the path that we all walk.

Covid - 19 Vaccines Gana

After months of clinical trials by many companies in different countries, several vaccines, which are 94-95% effective, have finally been approved and are now making their way to hospitals, clinics and doctors rooms. Successful trials of the vaccines have taken place with medical professionals and the elderly. Vaccines against COVID-19 will be available to us soon.

Understanding The Second Wave Of Covid - 19 Gana

Covid-19 is still a grave reality, now with a new strain of the virus spreading across the world. When the pandemic first began, we did not expect it to last this long, and no one expected that it would spread so widely and have such a disastrous impact. As we move into 2021, it continues to be crucial to maintain social distance, avoid large groups of people, wash or sanitize our hands and wear masks consistently to stop the spread of the virus.

Idioma Q'eqchi' Cambio Climático, Prácticas y Desafíos Para los Pueblos Indígenas

El cambio climático ya no es un tema desconocido para los pueblos Indígenas y más allá de solo conocer sobre el término cambio climático, los pueblos Indígenas están sufriendo directamente estos efectos que van desde lluvias por varios días hasta sequías que duran meses.

Los pueblos Indígenas desde su cosmovisión han respetado y protegido la madre naturaleza, pero en la actualidad la tarea no ha sido fácil ante la violación de leyes nacionales en favor de la mitigación del cambio climático.

Alimentos Para Fortalecer el Sistema Inmunológico Durante el Covid-19, en Idioma Q'eqchi

Las comunidades Indígenas desde tiempos milenarios y basados en su conocimiento tradicional, han llevado el sustento de alimentos a sus familias y comunidades, garantizando así la alimentación sana y diversa. En este tiempo de crisis sanitaria por Covid-19 este también ha sido un tema prioritario.

Muchos de los alimentos que siembran y cosechan contienen propiedades que fortalecen su sistema inmunológico ayudándolos a proteger su cuerpo en esta época de pandemia, conozca un poco más en este programa preparado por la radio comunitaria Nimlajacoc en Cobán Alta Verapaz, Guatemala.

Agua y saneamiento, ODS#6, en Idioma Q'eqchi’

¿Qué sabe sobre los objetivos de desarrollo sostenible conocidos como ODS? En este programa le compartimos información sobre el objetivo 6, enfocado a garantizar que todas las personas en el mundo puedan tener acceso a servicios sanitarios adecuados y agua limpia, ya que actualmente Naciones Unidas señala que en todo el mundo, una de cada tres personas no tiene acceso a agua potable, dos de cada cinco no disponen de una instalación básica destinada a lavarse las manos con agua y jabón y no cuentan con servicios sanitarios adecuados.

Fin de la pobreza, ODS#1, en Idioma Q'eqchi’

¿Ha escuchado sobre los Objetivos de Desarrollo Sostenible (ODS)?
