Unicel, duroport, desechables, plásticos, estos son algunos nombres que se les asignan a todo aquel recipiente o utensilio de un solo uso, los más comunes son bolsas, platos, vasos y cubiertos. Al desecharlos ocasionan una gran acumulación de basura que llegan a cuantificarse en toneladas.

La resistencia de pueblos Indígenas por la defensa de sus derechos ha dejado masacres a comunidades y familias enteras. Sobrevivir en tiempos de conflicto interno es un milagro y vivir con los daños físicos y psicológicos no es nada fácil.

Sebastián Palomino Jiménez tiene 16 años y es uno de los artistas más jóvenes de nuestra comunidad del Bazar en Cultural Survival.

The state of Germany has agreed to compensate the state of Namibia, by means of a development fund of 1.4 billion Euros, over 30 years. Indigenous storytelling production company Wapanatahk Media has reached a television development deal with Anthony Johnson and Dr. James Makokis, a Two-Spirit Indigenous couple and winners of season 7 of The Amazing Race Canada.

The factual series will follow Johnson and Makokis as they pursue their mission to educate the masses about Indigenous cultural teachings, helping Canadians embark on their own transformational journeys and welcoming them into Nizhoni Acres, the couple's dream property, which they are currently renovating using the prize money from Amazing Race.

Human trafficking is one of the most difficult issues to address in Nepal, affecting and exploiting thousands of women, adolescent girls, and children. Indigenous women and girls are disproportionately affected by human trafficking and represent almost 70 percent of the cases. Indigenous women and girls make up the majority of the people trafficked and exploited. Following the 2015 earthquake in Nepal, economic opportunities have been severely impacted and the numbers of missing women and girls including children have risen sharply.

It is important to have all the information about the potential impacts of development projects on the environment, the community and the people. The information should be available in a way in which everyone can understand, and in the native language of the people it will affect.

La basura plástica es algo presente en casi todo lo que consumimos. Agua purificada y con gas, alimentos, utensilios, insumos para el hogar, etc. Detrás de esto existe otro problema más grande, el cual es la acumulación de basura plástica que llega a cuantificarse en toneladas.

Daunnette Moniz-Reyome, a proud member of the UmoⁿhoⁿTribe in Nebraska, is turning 19 this year. She began modeling at age 13, appearing in multiple spreads and videos by Teen Vogue, which opened up the world of media attention to her. Despite her passion for the modeling and entertainment industries, Moniz-Reyome struggled to find Native American models to look up to. So, she decided to become that model for other Native American youth.

Tevin August is an inspiring young man from Coronationville in Johannesburg West. He was born with a form of Cerebal Palsy which is a group of disorders that affect a person's ability to move, maintain balance and posture.

He has never allowed his disability to hinder his forward progression both mentally, physical or emotionally; in actual fact it has given him a strong mental capacity and a unique outlook when it comes to taking on life and all its hardships and challenges.
